LOCAL FOCUS, NATIONAL REACH.....

A Network of Local Sites Helping 2 Beat Cancer

The current inflationary environment will impact donations to Help 2 Beat Cancer as there is generally less disposable income for most people.

This means there is a need for new initiatives, a need for fresh thinking. The focus of the GBr.Community Network of Local Sites towards Help 2 Beat Cancer is such an initiative from HERAC CIC that provides channels for the local community across Great Britain to help 2 Beat Cancer

From each local site, Merchants can offer their products and services in a multi-vendor marketplace. Merchants are featured for free, but make a donation towards Helping 2 Beat Cancer. Users of the local sites will soon be able to Help 2 Beat Cancer, by making donations direct to the local Cancer Research UK Shop from the relevant local site.

Supporting The HERAC CIC Network

The Founder of the HERAC CIC Network is Alfred Samuels. Early in 2012, he was diagnosed with advanced metastatic prostate cancer, stage 4, and given 6 months to live. He survived due to his participation in the Stampede drug trial, funded by Cancer Research UK, for whom he is now an ambassador

He strongly believes he survived through a combination of; his participation in the Stampede drug trial Programme. Sheer determination, guts and a positive mindset; were his foundation for survival. Consequently, this was coupled; with a change of lifestyle and the constant and ongoing support of his family and friends.

Engaging Local Networks at a Grassroots Level

The Local Network of over 100 Local Sites Provide Channels to Engage Local Networks at a Grassroots Level. It does this by providing local channels to engage with people on an individual basis, and help maintain a relationship with them, across the breadth of ways they want to engage

The GBr.Community Network of Local Web sites, provides tools to facilitate the above from the individual local sites in the network, providing local people who want to support the fight to Help 2 Beat Cancer, a channel from which to do so

Co-operation With The Ethically Sourced Network

Across the Network of local sites, GBr.Community is co-operating with the Ethically Sourced Network (ESN), who are a Network of Ethically Sourced Suppliers and Retailers, whose products are Ethically Sourced and who are part of a Carbon Reduction Programme to Help in the fight against Climate Change.

The products of ESN Suppliers and Retailers are featured across the Network of local sites. The ESN Suppliers and Retailers will make a donation towards helping to fight cancer on any sales made.
